We’ve been taken to task a bit lately for our lack of coverage of Fox’s superb “The Exorcist” so to make sure you’re aware that the series is returning this coming Friday with the season’s penultimate Episode 1.09, entitled “Chapter Nine: 162,” here’s a preview of the ep along with its synopsis.

Just two episodes remain – if you’re not already on board, be sure catch up before this train leaves the station for good!

MARCUS RACES TO AVOID A POTENTIAL TRAGEDY – On the eve of Pope Sebastian’s visit to Chicago, Marcus (Ben Daniels) and his companions race to avert a potential tragedy. Tomas (Alfonso Herrera) is offered a life-changing opportunity, but will the sins of the past endanger his future within the church?

Meanwhile, as the Rance family attempts to recover from their most recent ordeal, a new problem threatens to tear them apart.
