First Image From Joseph Kahn’s Detention Promises a New Slasher

It’s been a while since last we spoke of Joseph Kahn’s latest horror comedy, Detention, but the man’s obviously been busy, and as you’ll see from the following image, he’s been spending his time well.

Devin Faraci’s new site Badass Digest alerted us to the fact that over on Joseph Kahn’s Twitter the directed posted an image of an obvious slasher he calls Cinderhella. Wacky? Yes. Dangerous as she looks? Let’s hope so.

Detention stars Dane Cook, Josh Hutcherson, Shanley Caswell, Spencer Locke, Parker Bagley, Alison Woods, Walter Perez, and Evan Williams. Dig on the image and the plot crunch below. Look for more soon.

Synopsis:
The film follows a 17-year-old who is given detention on the night of her prom. Over the course of the night her friends are murdered by a fictional horror movie icon. It’s said to be in the vein of Scream with elements of Back to the Future (time travel is involved) and classic John Hughes teen films from the 80’s.
