Roo RaymondWelcome back to another edition of The Devil’s Muse! Glad to have you here, Dread Centralites. This week we’ve got something totally new in our spotlight: horror-inspired music!

Roo Raymond is our Devil’s Muse this time around. He writes tribute songs inspired by low/no/microbudget films.

One of his songs was included in Todd Sheets’ DVD/Blu-ray/VHS release of House of Forbidden Secrets. Another was on the 25th anniversary Blu-ray release of Dead Next Door. Some other films that Roo has been inspired by are  HauntedWeen, Boardinghouse, Cannibal Campout, and Redneck Zombies.

Roo told us that he enjoys writing these homages to movies that most might see as “awful” because he sees the work and passion that goes into making them. For him, he gets excited by the innovation and creativity it takes to solve problems in low/no budget films.

Check out a few of Roo’s songs below and see what you think!

If you want more horror-inspired music from Roo Raymond, you can find him on Twitter, SoundCloud, and Facebook.

Thanks for reading, and as always, come back next week for another The Devil’s Muse!
