Jody the Pig to Appear in Amityville: The Awakening
You just never know where you’ll find news. Though a major player in the Amityville story, Jody the Pig barely gets any love from the movies which populate the film franchise. That’s about to change in Amityville: The Awakening.
While perusing the Trick or Treat Studios website, we came across the following…
“Trick or Treat Studios and the Weinstein Company [are] proud to present Jody the Pig from Amityville: The Awakening.
Amityville: The Awakening is about a single mother who moves her three children into the Amityville House not knowing the house’s bloody history.ᅠ And of course what Amityville movie would be complete without Jody the Pig, who appeared in the book, the original The Amityville Horror and of course Amityville: The Awakening.
Sculpted by Josh Wasylink, Jody the Pig is an exact replica of the Pig from the movie.”
Who knew?!?
Dimension Films is said to be releasing the film on June 30th, but who knows. Stay tuned.
Obviously, the below artwork pertains to a previously announced release date. We await a new version.
Amityville: The Awakening was trimmed from an R rating down to a PG-13 for “disturbing horror violence and terror, suggestive images, brief language and thematic material.” The previous R rating was for “strong horror violence and language.”
The film stars Bella Thorne, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Cameron Monaghan, Thomas Mann, Taylor Spreitler, Mckenna Grace, and Kurtwood Smith. Daniel Farrands and Casey La Scala co-wrote the script and produce with Jason Blum of hit factory Blumhouse. Franck Khalfoun (Maniac) directs.
Synopsis:
Belle and her family move into a new house, but when strange phenomena begin to occur in the house, Belle begins to suspect her mother isn’t telling her everything and soon realizes they just moved into the infamous Amityville house.
