Patricia Arquette Announces Medium Cancellation
We’ve been a bit sporadic in our coverage of the TV series “Medium” after its first couple of years on its original home of NBC, but when word came down today that it’s been canceled, we thought it worth mentioning, particularly in light of the lack of respect its current network, CBS, has demonstrated.
According to EW.com CBS itself didn’t issue the announcement of the show’s demise, but rather its star, Patricia Arquette, did.
We already knew CBS had cut the episodic order on “Medium” from 22 to 13 last month, but this weekend Arquette told EW that “we got canceled” and the show only has two more episodes to shoot.
“I was trying to get information from the writers about the last episode,” Arquette said while attending a gala at The Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles. “I don’t know what it’s going to be, but they’re really excited about it. They’re like, ‘We’re just going to burn the whole thing down!’ I’m really excited.” She’s not looking forward to saying goodbye, however. “It’s been a great time. I love that time in my life.”
