Dread hit the set of Rob Hall’s feature ChromeSkull: Laid To Rest II last week in Los Angeles, CA, and while that set report is imminent, we did chat with one of the film’s stars, actor Brian Austin Green, who spoke a bit about his inclusion in director Danny Cistone’s upcoming horror-comedy flick Monster Heroes.

The latter film, which was written and co-produced by Brent Tarnol, features actress Briana Evigan of last year’s Sorority Row redux and revolves around a documentary filmmaker who captures a rather unique struggle when four famous film monsters, in an effort to battle a nefarious cheerleader (Evigan) who has turned Hollywood residents into beautiful yet evil people (isn’t this standard operating procedure?), join forces.

I did one scene in that,” the “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles”/”Desperate Housewives” star told us of his Monster Heroes character of ‘James’, while seated in a makeup chair. “A buddy of mine directed it and sort of co-wrote it, and from what I read and from what I saw (while on set), it’s sort of a reality show spoof of a bunch of monsters that live in the real world. One guy works at the zoo and is a werewolf. [He] will love animals during the day, transform at night and slaughter a cage full of rabbits, and then wake up and go, ‘Oh my god, what have I done?!’

It’s funny, and it’s a fun movie,” concluded Green. “I just did a quick little cameo bit. I’m curious to see it, and I hope it’s as funny as it seemed to me when I was there.

Stay tuned for more on Green’s turn in Laid To Rest II soon here, and in the interim visit Monster Heroes on Facebook.
