New Storyboards Introduce Us to Baphomet’s Hellkeeper
Indie films often follow a long and winding road on their way to reaching the masses, and one that we’ve been talking about for a few years now is Baphomet. Writer/director Matthan Harris has provided us with an update plus an exclusive look at the storyboard sequence for a nightmarish scene with the Hellkeeper, who serves as the Gatekeeper to Hell in the film.
Harris tells us, “As for the film’s progress, shooting is expected to continue in March. I’m also in talks with a very exciting horror veteran to join the cast; will update you on that soon.”
Currently the cast includes Cradle of Filth frontman Dani Filth as occult expert Lon Carlson. Harris serves as writer, director, co-star, and producer with Incisive Pictures on Baphomet. For more info and updates, keep your eyes on the Baphomet Facebook page.
Synopsis:
An American family celebrates their 28-year-old daughter’s pregnancy. The celebration is interrupted when a Satanic cult leader, Henrik Brandr, unexpectedly visits their ranch.
Henrik offers to pay the family a large sum for ownership of their land. Jacob Richardson, the father, rejects the offer due to the priceless sentimental value of the ranch. Henrik, displeased, begins to put devastating curses on the Richardsons, trying to force them off their land – even if it means murdering them.
After suffering unexplainable tragedies, the Richardsons seek help from Marybeth, a white witch high priestess. They soon discover a terrible secret about their house, revealing why their land is so valuable to the cult. They realize they must protect their house from the cult at all costs, and a violent battle between good and evil ensues.
