Sam Worthington Sorry About Clash of the Titans Remake

Seems that Mark Wahlberg isn’t the only one who’s not afraid to admit he was involved in a stinker. Yep, the Clash of the Titans remake kind of sucked, and star Sam Worthington knows it.

In an interview with MovieFone Perseus himself had the following to say about his first go around with the monsters of myth and legend.

“I think the first one, we kind of let down some people. I think I can act fucking better, to be honest,” says Worthington. “What we’re setting out to do with this one — the writers and the director and myself — is improve. Just take all the notes from people that I have been reading about on the ‘net and give them a movie they fucking want. This one I want to kind of try to satisfy a lot more people.”

Can it be? Someone’s actually listening? We’ll find out in a couple of years. Worthington (Perseus), Gemma Arterton (Io) and Ralph Fiennes (Hades) are attached to the sequel, and in talks are James Franco to play Poseidon’s son, Agenor, and Javier Bardem as Ares, god of war.

Wrath of the Titans has a tentative release date of spring 2012.
