Nakata, Ichise Get Inhuman
Fans of J-horror rejoice! Hideo Nakata (The Ring) is coming back to our shores with a brand-new, seemingly ghost-free horror tale, and he’s reteaming with J-horror producing giant Takashi Ichise (The Grudge) to make it happen.
The film is called Inhuman, according to The Hollywood Reporter, and is loosely based on a Japanese murder case, though more details on it were sparse at best. The project is currently setup at 20th Century Fox and Regency Enterprises.
The pitch was brought in by Eric Heisserer, the writer responsible for a film in development called The Occupants (formerly known as Dionaea House) which is supposed to be the next directing gig for Haunting in Connecticut helmer Peter Cornwell. You can check out his blog here but good luck finding out more info on this project…
