One of Italy’s most recognized and beloved horror films is Dario Argento’s Suspiria. Celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, the Texas Frightmare horror convention, which is being presented in association with Blumhouse.com, will be hosting a reunion of the director along with actresses Barbara Magnolfi, who played Olga, and Stefania Casini, who played Sara.

The festival takes place May 5th-7th at the Hyatt Regency in Dallas-Fort Worth. If you want to pick up tickets, they’re available now via Texas Frightmare’s website.

It’s not certain if there will be any other Suspiria goodies, such as a screening of the 4k restoration, which was done by German lab TLEFilms, that was supposed to screen during the Berlin Film Festival. A search on their website reveals nothing about the film, so it’s unclear what is happening with that copy.

Synopsis:
On a stormy night American dancer Suzy Bannion arrives in Freiburg, coming from New York to join a famous and expensive ballet school for a three-year training. The next morning, she is informed by the director of the school that a student she met leaving the place on the previous night was violently murdered and the police are investigating the crime. She becomes the friend of another student, Sara, and realizes that the house is indeed a coven of evil witches.
