ScreenCraft Announces 5th Annual Horror Screenplay Contest
The annual ScreenCraft Horror Screenplay Contest has revealed the jury for their 5th year and every upcoming writer is probably going to leap at the opportunity to present their work to these folk! First up you’ve got Scott Henderson, who is the agent at Paradigm Talent Agency that represents James Wan and Leigh Whannell. Next up is Ryan Turek, VP of Development at Blumhouse Productions. After that you’ve got Kailey Marsh, the creator of the Blood List. Last on the list is Sean McKittrick, the producer of films such as Donnie Darko, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies and Jordan Peele’s Get Out.
The contest, which has an early deadline of April 15th with a final deadline of July 1st, will give people the chance to win some cold hard cash along with opportunities to chat with Hollywood managers and agents as well as an introduction to studio development executives, producers, and filmmakers. Lastly, the grand prize winner will also get a phone call chat with C. Robert Cargill, who wrote Sinister and Doctor Strange.
If you’re a winner, this is an amazing opportunity to get a chance to talk with people who actually make things happen in Hollywood. And even if you don’t win, you’ve still written a script, which means you’ve practiced and honed your craft, bettering yourself in the process.
If you’re looking to enter, you can do so right here. Best of luck to everyone who enters!
