Between The Citadel and Sinister 2, director Ciaran Foy has carved out a nice little career for himself by bringing on the spooky. THR is reporting that Foy just signed on to direct Broad Green Pictures’ psychological horror film Eli.

Based on a 2015 Black List screenplay by David Chirchirillo, the film centers on a young boy who undergoes treatment for a rare disease at a secluded clinic, which becomes a haunted prison with no way out. Ian Goldberg and Richard Naing have been tapped to pen a rewrite.

Intrepid Pictures’ Trevor Macy has come on to produce alongside Bellevue Prods.’ John Zaozirny. Broad Green founders Gabriel and Daniel Hammond will executive produce. Melinda Nishioka is shepherding the project for Intrepid.

Production is scheduled to begin in the summer.

In addition to the Sinister sequel, Foy has partnered with Blumhouse on a number of projects in the works, including The Shee, which he will write and direct.
