Poe Pilot Gets a Director
It’s great to see such a wonderful resurgence in interest in the always amazing macabre author Edgar Allan Poe. With several Poe themed projects in the works, it seems as if the industry just can’t get enough of this troubled yet lovable soul. That’s just fine with us, and we have a quick update for you regarding ABC’s upcoming TV pilot!
Bloody Disgusting reports that “Fringe” and “Terra Nova” director Alex Graves will be handling the directorial reigns for “Poe” for its first episode.
Penned by Chris Hollier for Warner Bros. TV and Lin Pictures, “Poe” is a new crime procedural TV series that will follow Edgar Allan Poe, the world’s very first detective, as he uses unconventional methods to investigate dark mysteries in 1840s Boston. It’s described as Sherlock Holmes with a hint of “X-Files” and “Moonlighting”. Shooting begins March 14 in Toronto.
