Alien: Covenant Star to Exorcise The Conjuring Spin-off The Nun

The cast of Corin Hardy’s The Nun has just found a man of the cloth in the form of Demian Bichir (Alien: Covenant, The Hateful Eight, Machete Kills), according to THR. The site writes that no plot details were given with this information, only that Bichir will be playing Father Burke, a priest, “…who is dispatched by Rome to investigate the mysterious death of a nun.”

The Nun is the second spin-off series to come from The Conjuring films, the first being Annabelle, which will get a sequel this summer.

Hardy is currently in production on the film, which is being produced by Peter Safran and James Wan, who created the character of The Nun in The Conjuring 2. The Nun has an anticipated release date of July 13, 2018.
