It doesn’t arrive in theaters and on VOD until May 12th, but Hounds of Love is already one of the year’s most acclaimed and intense genre experiences. It played at the Venice Film Festival, where it won Best Actress (Ashleigh Cummings); Brussels International Film Festival, where it won both Best Director (Ben Young) and Best Actress (Emma Booth); and Boston Underground Film Festival, where it was runner-up for Best Feature.

Up next, Hounds of Love (review) is set to play the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival, which means now is the perfect time for Gunpowder & Sky to reveal its new official artwork.

The Ben Young-directed Australian thriller stars Ashleigh Cummings, Emma Booth, Stephen Curry, Susie Porter, Damien de Montemas, and Harrison Gilbertson.

Synopsis:
In suburban Perth during the mid 1980s, people are unaware that women are disappearing at the hands of serial killer couple John and Evelyn White. After an innocent lapse in judgment, Vicki Maloney is randomly abducted by the disturbed couple. With her murder imminent, Vicki realizes she must find a way to drive a wedge between Evelyn and John if she is to survive.

Hounds of Love is an exercise in expertly crafted tension, offering a bold, challenging debut from writer/director Ben Young.
