Arnold Schwarzenegger Didn’t Like the Script for The Predator
Even though he teased that he would be interested in coming back for another tango with The Predator a while back, star Arnold Schwarzenegger ultimately turned down an appearance in Shane Black’s next chapter. Here’s why…
“They asked me, and I read it, and I didn’t like it — whatever they offered,” Arnold tells Yahoo. “So I’m not going to do that, no. Except if there’s a chance that they rewrite it, or make it a more significant role. But the way it is now, no, I won’t do that.”
Sounds like Schwarzenegger was offered a glorified cameo. I mean, he is pushing 70 now, ya know?
The film stars Thomas Jane, Edward James Olmos, Sterling K. Brown, Trevante Rhodes, Boyd Holbrook, Jacob Tremblay, Olivia Munn, Alfie Allen, Yvonne Strahovski, Augusto Aguilera, and Keegan-Michael Key.
Black is directing from a script by Fred Dekker. John Davis, Joel Silver, and Lawrence Gordon — who produced the original — are producing.
Look for The Predator in theaters on February 9, 2018.
