New Invader Zim Movie Teaser is All About Laughing Evilly
Nickelodeon has released another short teaser for their planned “Invader Zim” TV movie, which was announced just the other day. the movie will bring back Zim, GIR, Dib, and Gaz, each voiced respectively by their original voiceover actors, Richard Horvitz, Rikki Simons, Andy Berman, and Melissa Fahn. The movie is said to be 90-minutes long, so we’ll get a full feature-length release and not one of those 60-minute TV movies that has 30 minutes of commercials to make it feel longer.
“Invader Zim” lasted two seasons after it premiered back in 2001. It was created by Jhonen Vasquez, who was known to many beforehand as the comic writer/artist who brought to life Johnny the Homicidal Maniac and Squee.
No release date has been given, so we’ll just sit back and wait (im)patiently.
Synopsis:
Zim dreams of greatness. Unfortunately, though, he’s hopelessly inept as a space invader. Desperate to be rid of the annoying Zim, his planet’s leaders send him on a mission to infiltrate Earth, providing him with leftover, cobbled-together equipment. To their consternation, Zim succeeds in setting up a base on Earth and infiltrating human culture, posing as a human child as he plots the planet’s downfall. Only Zim’s archnemesis, Dib, recognizes that Zim is an alien, and of course, nobody believes Dib’s claims.
