Westworld Star Shannon Woodward Joins The Last of Us Part II
We still don’t know much about The Last of Us Part II, although “Westworld” actress Shannon Woodward confirmed on Twitter that she has a role in the game. She included a photo of herself in a motion-capture suit in the studio with director Neil Druckmann, so it looks like this will be both a physical and vocal performance. Druckmann is also working on the game’s script alongside “Westworld” writer Halley Wegryn Gross.
Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson will return as Joel and Ellie in the sequel, which will take place five years after the events of its predecessor. Whilst the first game’s plot centered around the theme of love, Druckmann stated in an interview with Eurogamer that hatred will be the driving force of Part II. I’m not sure what that means at this point, but I know I can’t wait to shoot up mushroom-infested zombies once again.
Naughty Dog have been working on The Last of Us Part II for some time, so we’ll probably be seeing more at E3 in June.
