DVD and Blu-ray Releases: April 11, 2017
Hello again, my friends. There is so much going on this weekend it’s kind of ridiculous. Last week I told you that we had 35 releases this week. Thanks to some last minute additions, that total is now up to a whopping 43, and that’s not even taking into account all of the movies in our Collections section. Unfortunately, those last minute additions have no cover art which I could locate so bear with me.
In addition to those discrepancies, with a release list this large, there are bound to be more. First up, Lurking Fear may have already dropped way in back in June of 2016. If you got it then, great. If not, you should be able to pick it up this week. Next, Blood Of The Tribades is scheduled for an off release date of April 15th instead of the 11th, so you may have to wait until Saturday for that title. Additionally, Evil Night has an abnormal release date of April 13th.
We have a bunch of classics dropping this week. The biggest one, in my opinion, is the Phantasm Special Edition Boxset. There’s also the House: Two Stories collection coming to Blu-ray as well. For those of you who need a dash of science fiction in their horror diet, Alien, Aliens and the Alien Anthology are all getting some kind of release this week, with the anthology coming out on Blu-ray. Reaching back six decades we have 1957’s The Vampire. Cathy’s Curse will be making its way to hi-def this week as well as 1981’s The Other Hell and 1980’s Demented. Lastly, from 1992, we have Evil Night and Dream Stalker.
Probably the more recognizable title in this week’s list would be The Bye Bye Man. This will be hitting shelves on both DVD and Blu-ray formats, and will probably be in mass abundance. Other notable titles this week include The Blackout Experiments, The Covenant, The Violent Shit Collection and the Troma double feature Fear Town, USA & The Slashening.
Keep reading below for the full list, and keep checking back each week, that is if this week doesn’t make you go broke. As always, pleasant viewing, fellow fiends.
