With Madison County well on its way, writer/director Eric England has already set his sights on his next project, which he calls “a Hitchcockian thriller”.

Bloody Disgusting nabbed the early word that England’s next film, Roadside, is a high concept thriller that finds Dan Summers and his pregnant wife, Mindy, in a fight for their lives when they are held hostage in their car by an unseen gunman on the side of a desolate mountain road.

“I’m a huge fan of single setting films – like Adam Green’s ‘Frozen’ – that take a seemingly normal situation and turn it on its head,” England tells BD. “I love the challenge of keeping the story in basically one location and finding ways to keep the characters interesting and the stakes high. The suspense and the tension of ‘Roadside’ should make for one exciting ride!”
