If you’ve been excited to take another trip into The Further, you’re gonna have to cool your heels a little bit as Deadline has announced that Insidious: Chapter 4 has been bumped from its October 20th release date to January 5, 2018. This leaves Blumhouse’s Half to Death from director Christopher Landon in the former slot while Insidious: Chapter 4 overtakes a spot taken by an untitled Blumhouse horror film.

Adam Robitel (The Taking of Deborah Logan) has come aboard to direct the film that was written by co-creator Leigh Whannell, who penned the trilogy and directed 2015’s Insidious: Chapter 3. Jason Blum, Oren Peli, and co-creator James Wan produce; and Steven Schneider, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, and Charles Layton executive produce. Also back is Lin Shaye, who stars as parapsychologist Elise Rainier.
