Mike Colter Cages Extraterrestrials in Extinction
When you’re beating off aliens, you want somebody with some muscle on your side. Enter “Luke Cage” himself, Mike Colter. Variety is reporting that Colter is the next to join the cast of the alien invasion thriller Extinction, starring Israel Broussard, Michael Pena, and Lizzy Caplan.
Look for the flick on January 26, 2018.
Hounds of Love director Ben Young helms Universal and Good Universe’s sci-fi thriller, which follows a father (Pena) whose recurring nightmare of losing his family becomes a real threat as the planet is invaded by aliens.
Eric Heisserer — who was Oscar nominated for his Arrival script — wrote the screenplay with Spenser Cohen and Bradley Caleb Kane.
Todd Lieberman and David Hoberman of Mandeville, who backed the hugely successful live action Beauty and the Beast, produce. Mandeville’s Alexander Young executive produces alongside Nathan Kahane and Joe Drake of Good Universe; Anna Halberg serves as co-producer.
Exec VP of production Erik Baiers and creative executive Mika Pryce oversee production for Universal, and Erin Westerman oversees on behalf of Good Universe.
