B&B Picked Up For UK and Irish Distribution

The independent suspense comedy/thriller B&B has been picked up by Peccadillo Pictures for UK and Irish distribution. The film has been a success in festivals, winning the Best LGBT Film at the London Independent Film Festival.

Written and directed by Joe Ahearne and produced by Jayne Chard, B&B stars Tom Bateman, Sean Teale, and Paul McGann.

Ahearne explains, “I wanted to do a thriller in the Hitchcock vein but with gay characters making the wrong choices and getting terrified out of their wits. B&B goes beyond the gay relationship movie. It’s a thriller with a married couple at the centre, something I haven’t seen before.”

Chard adds, “B&B is a very different kind of gay film and a brutally funny thriller.

A trailer and the film’s synopsis can be found below.

Synopsis:
Marc and Fred went to war when they were refused a double bed at a remote Christian guest house. They won in court, and now they’re back to claim their conjugal rights. Triumph turns to terror when a Russian neo-Nazi checks in.

Scarred For Life
Episode 266: Opus Writer/Director Mark Anthony Green and Michael Jackson's Thriller (1983)
This week we were unbelievably excited to chat with writer and director Mark Anthony Green! We talk about his feature film debut Opus, working with musical icons The-Dream and Nile Rodgers, Ayo Edebiri's star power and the eccentricities (and graciousness) of John Malkovich. Mark Anthony shares a fantastic story of John on set and so much more before we dig a bit into his horror history and find out why Michael Jackson's Thriller music video scared him as a kid. A shorter episode this week, but easily one of our favorite conversations in a long while. Don't miss it. And go see Opus in theaters!Follow Mary Beth, Terry and the Podcast on Bluesky. Ep. 347 Smile 2: “The Tale of Schmorgashbords, Part 1”
Ket tells Kim about the highly requested and truly terrifying Smile 2. This left Ketryn truly shooketh and gave The Substance a run for its money in grotesque-ness. It was simply a smorgasbord of gore and the first time in podcast history that Ket is the one who can’t quite say a word. Stay tuned for part 2 to find out what type of pants Kim needs for this one.Writer/Dir.
