Indie Horror Month: Director Joshua Hull Announces Idiot Gore Filming at Days of the Dead Con This July
One of Dread Central’s 2010 Indie Filmmakers to Watch, Joshua Hull, checked in this week to give us some exclusive news on his latest project, Idiot Gore , and if you happen to be at the Days of the Dead convention in Indiana this summer, you will have the opportunity to be part of indie horror history, which is something definitely different from most cons these days.
If you remember, Hull partnered with DC a few months back for his unusual “Create Your Own Killer” contest, and it’s looking like the writer/director is very much about keeping the fans involved with this one every step of the way.

From the Press Release:
Arsonist Pictures, 3 O’clock Productions, and Days of the Dead are pleased to announce that the upcoming horror film Idiot Gore will be filming at the Days of the Dead convention this upcoming July 1st through 3rd in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Idiot Gore stars Jim O’Rear (Day of the Dead, The Dead Matter), Kaylee Williams (Slices of Life), Babette Bombshell, and Shawn C. Phillips (Assault of the Sasquatch, Girls Gone Dead) and will showcase the talents of several regional actors, many former Beverly Laners.
Two key scenes will be shot on location at the Wyndham Indianapolis West over the convention weekend with a large crowd scene being filmed on Saturday, July 2nd.
“We promised to involve fans in every aspect of Idiot Gore from the
‘Create Your Own Killer’ contest to unveiling the poster art with the fans to now filming at the core of fandom itself. Horror has the best fans, and for Days of the Dead to allow the opportunity to film on location speaks about the volume of their passion for indie horror. We look forward to giving the fans a glimpse of Idiot Gore and sharing this experience with everyone in attendance,” says Hull.
Aside from unveiling the official poster and filming on location at Days of the Dead 2011, Arsonist pictures will also be sponsoring the appearance of several stars of indie horror, including Jim O’Rear, Kaylee Williams, Shawn C.
