Jane Jensen’s Gray Matter Finally Hits the PC

Remember the good ol’ days of point-n-click adventure gaming when companies like Sierra and Lucas Arts were creating wildly original stories and worlds to explore instead of all the first-person shooter nonsense we see today? Recently companies like Telltale Games and titles like Heavy Rain have slowly resurrected the dead genre, but for old-school gamers there’s something even better: Jane Jensen, creator of the legendary Gabriel Knight series, has delivered her first game in nearly a decade — and it’s another classic atmospheric story-driven horror tale!

Gray Matter follows stage magician Sam Everett, whose motorcycle breaks down outside stately Dread Hill House. To get shelter for the night, she poses as the new assistant for Dr. Styles, the house’s reclusive neuroscientist. Naturally she finds herself entangled in the doctor’s twisted experiments and must unravel the mysteries behind his sordid past.

Early word on the game has been through the roof, and it just now made its way over to the States. Sadly, the Xbox version still has no U.S. distro, but PC gamers can order it right now!

Check out the official Gray Matter website to learn more and download the demo.
