Texas Frightmare Weekend is under way now, and Mr. Dark reported in from the fray with some pretty interesting news for those of you who prefer your horror to fall on the dark and depraved side of the fence…

Stephen Biro, the head of Unearthed Films, told the crowd last night that the company has landed the US rights to A Serbian Film. They’ll be releasing an “ultimate director’s cut” that’s over 5 minutes longer than what’s been seen. The film’s director, Srdjan Spasojevic, also has over 60 hours of behind-the-scenes footage to cut into special features.

There’s no official release date or artwork yet, but we’ll let you know once all is revealed.

A Serbian Film (review) stars Srdjan Todorovic, Sergej Trifunovic, Jelena Gavrilovic, and Slobodan Bestic.

Synopsis:
A Serbian Film probes the life of Milos, a retired adult film star. Milos is lured out of retirement by a deep-pocketed director seeking to make the ultimate arthouse XXX film. What follows is the most depraved cinematic storytelling of a moral and political allegory ever seen. Consider yourself warned.
