Cast for NBC’s 17th Precinct Grows by One
There’s a healthy crop of genre-themed TV pilots on its way, and one show we’ve been keeping an eye on is NBC’s “17th Precinct”, which has just added a “Smallville” vet to its cast to join all the folks from “Battlestar Galactica” who have already signed on.
Kristin Kreuk, best known for playing Lana Lang in the soon to be ending “Smallville”, will guest star in the pilot as Susan Longstreet, the wife of Jamie Bamber’s crime scene expert. Should the network pick up the series, the role has the potential to go recurring, according to TVLine.
The Sony TV-produced drama is set in the fictional town of Excelsior where magic and supernatural elements rule over science and revolves around the cops at the local 17th Precinct. Tricia Helfer plays Morgana, a necromancer, the magical equivalent of a coroner, who is an expert at manipulating the potions, tools, herbs, and spells of her trade while her and Bamber’s former “BSG” co-star James Callis is portraying a homicide detective. Also confirmed are Stockard Channing and Matt Long.
More soon.
