Rest in Peace: Andrew Bonime

We only just found out that Andrew Bonime, the producer of the 1984 horror film C.H.U.D., passed away in late March after a long battle with medical issues just three days before his 69th birthday, according to Crystal Lake Publishing. The publishing company is currently finishing a C.H.U.D. tribute anthology that will feature an interview with Bonime. It is due for release later this year.

While C.H.U.D. was the last film that Bonime produced (also the second), he was still heavily involved in Hollywood in the years following the B-horror film’s release. For a time, he was Vice President of Motion Pictures and TV for superstar Diana Ross and he founded Cloudshine Global Music, which released the 2007 album Somewhere in This Room that Bonime wrote with vocalist Laura Pursell.

We send our deepest condolences to his friends and family.
