Marcus Dunstan, Patrick Melton, and Stephen Romano to Bring Us Black Light for Mulholland Books
It’s always nice to see good people work together to create something great. As far as the horror genre goes, it’s also cool to see people who are absolutely bat-shit psychotic work together to bring us something deliciously dark. Case in point … an update on Black Light, an upcoming novel from Patrick Melton, Marcus Dunstan, and Stephen Romano we first told you about last month.
Mulholland Books is getting set to bring us one hell of a print collaboration from filmmakers Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton (pictured below) and horror film enthusiast, screenwriter, and author Stephen Romano (pictured below Marcus and Patrick) known as Black Light.
“Black Light is a novel about a private eye with supernatural powers who gets in deep with a bunch of ghosts on a high-tech bullet train. How’s THAT for genre-bending? We’re pretty happy with how it’s shaping up, and we think it owes a dark debt to a lot of the crazy films and books we grew up with, many of which probably had no idea how many rules they were breaking.”
Black Light will be released by Mulholland Books for Halloween 2011. Look for more soon!
