Chloe Sevigny Taking a Whack at Lizzie Borden for HBO
We may never know the real truth about what went down between Lizzie Borden and her parents, but hopefully a new HBO miniseries starring Chloe Sevigny will shed a bit of light on this infamous family in American crime history.
According to Deadline Sevigny is tackling the project with Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman’s production company, Playtone, with whom she already has a relationship thanks to “Big Love”.
HBO is developing “Lizzie Borden” as a four-hour miniseries about the infamous story of Lizzie Borden who, in 1893, was acquitted of murdering her overbearing father and stepmother with a hatchet but was publicly condemned. Sevigny, who has been the driving force behind the project, is set to star as Borden as well as co-executive produce. She also brought in writer Bryce Kass, who is in the midst of writing the script.
Perfect casting so far, and it’ll be interesting to see who they get to play Lizzie’s parents. Keep it here for more as it comes.
