Go Behind the Scenes of Spike’s The Mist
Update: Another video, this one asking the cast/crew about the influence of Stephen King on them, has been released and has been added below.
Coming this summer to Spike TV is “The Mist,” a television adaptation of the Stephen King novella. Telling the tale of a small town that becomes prey to a strange mist and the dangers within, the story was adapted into a film in 2007 that was directed by Frank Darabont.
Now, this series will attempt to take the story one step further and really explore the possibilities that might occur when such an event happens.
Below is a new behind-the-scenes video wherein the cast and crew of the film show off new scenes, how shots were filmed, and explain what this show will bring to the table. Obviously there are spoilers, so I’d watch it carefully if you want to remain surprised when the series premieres.
“The Mist” stars Morgan Spector, Alyssa Sutherland, Gus Birney, Danica Curcic, Okezie Morro, Luke Cosgrove, Darren Pettie, Russell Posner, Dan Butler, Isiah Whitlock, Jr., and Frances Conroy. It premieres on Thursday, June 22nd, at 10pm ET/PT.
Synopsis:
“The Mist” centers around a small town family that is torn apart by a brutal crime. As they deal with the fallout, an eerie mist rolls in, suddenly cutting them off from the rest of the world and, in some cases, each other. Family, friends, and adversaries become strange bedfellows, battling the mysterious mist and its threats, fighting to maintain morality and sanity as the rules of society break down.
