Thanks to the success of “The Walking Dead”, it seems that every television network on the face of the planet is looking to cook up the next big thing. It’s a glorious time for sure. Next up … The Chiller Network.

According to Multichannel Chiller will look to build on the ratings success of its first original special with the roll-out of two original films and a new special, the network announced Tuesday.

Among the original film titles slated for 2011 is Steve Niles’ “Remains”, which follows the two lone survivors of a bizarre accident that reduced most of the world’s population to zombies, said network officials. The movie, written by John Doolan and directed by Colin Theys, is based on a graphic novel by Steven Niles (30 Days of Night).

Also, Brian Keene’s “Ghoul” — based on a horror novel of the same name — follows a group of young friends who risk their lives to stop a rash of disappearances in their town.

Following up on the success of its December “Chiller 13: The Decade’s Scariest Movie Moments”, the network will air later this year “Chiller 13: Horror’s Creepiest Kids”, which takes a look back at the 13 all-time creepiest kids in horror.

Stay tuned for more.
