Michael Sheen Looking to Cast Some Dark Shadows
More possible casting news coming in this evening for Tim Burton’s big screen adaptation of the vampire themed soap opera Dark Shadows with another big-name winner in line to haunt the lovely Victoria Winters.
According to Indie Wire Michael Sheen (pictured right; Underworld) is in early discussions for a supporting role in the film, though it’s not yet clear just whom he’ll been playing.
If signed, Sheen would join the previously announced Johnny Depp, Jackie Earle Haley, Eva Green, Bella Heathcote, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Helena Bonham Carter.
Seth Grahame-Smith will be writing and Johnny Depp is attached to star and produce with Graham King’s GK Flms. Depp had obtained feature rights to “Dark Shadows” in 2007 from the estate of Dan Curtis, the producer/director who created it. The series aired weekdays on ABC from 1966 to 1971 with 1,225 episodes.
