I, Frankenstein Still Alive and Twitching
It’s been a long while since we’ve heard anything pertaining to the badass looking project I, Frankenstein. As with many movies, there’s been a bit of a change in regard to exactly who will be bringing it to the big screen.
According to The Hollywood Reporter 30 Days of Night and Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl writer Stuart Beattie has come aboard the project to write and direct. FX wizard Patrick Tatopoulos (Underworld: Rise of the Lycans) is no longer attached. Beattie and Lakeshore Entertainment are hoping to begin production this fall.
The I, Frankenstein live-action movie is based upon a Darkstorm Studios graphic novel created by Kevin Grevioux (co-creator and star the Underworld franchise).
“‘I, Frankenstein’ pictures a modern-day world where the classic literary monster stands between humans and a host of other supernatural creatures looking to rise up and take over.”
