E3 2017: Code Vein’s Combat Gets Bloody
Knowing how long it normally takes to reach the end credits in a Japanese RPG, you’d better start clearing up your schedule if you want to have any chance of completing Bandai Namco’s Code Vein. Especially if it ends up being anywhere near as difficult as the Dark Souls franchise, with which it shares the same publisher.
The new trailer for Code Vein shown at E3 doesn’t really show us much aside from some very bloody gameplay footage of the combat mechanics. In terms of plot, we already know that you play as a vampire warrior in a world overrun with nightmarish beasts. If you give in to your bloodlust, you’ll become one of the Lost, which is what the game’s characters call vampires without a shred of humanity.
Code Vein is still in the early stages of development, but we’ll see more when it’s ready to be shown. Either way, you really have to love that gorgeous anime art-style. Slated for a 2018 release, we can expect Code Vein to arrive on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
Code Vein – PS4/XB1/PC – Thorns of Judgement (E3 2017 Trailer)
Code Vein is coming to PS4, XB1 and PC in 2018! In the not too distant future, a mysterious disaster has brought collapse to the world as we know it. Towering skyscrapers, once symbols of prosperity, are now lifeless graves of humanity’s past pierced by the Thorns of Judgment. At the center of the destruction lies a hidden society of Revenants called Vein. This final stronghold is where the remaining few fight to survive, blessed with Gifts of power in exchange for their memories and a thirst for blood. Give into the bloodlust fully and risk becoming one of the Lost, fiendish ghouls devoid of any remaining humanity.
