The Conjuring universe, which has already spun off Annabelle and the now-filming The Nun, is adding another spinoff in the form of the Crooked Man, which was suggested just a few weeks ago.

THR reports that Mike Van Waes, who is working on an as-yet-untitled horror-themed Wizard of Oz story, will be tackling the script based on a story from James Wan, who is the mastermind behind this universe. The film will be produced by Wan and Peter Safran. It’s not yet sure if Javier Botet will be reprising his role as the titular character.

As mentioned above, The Conjuring universe is currently expanding with The Nun, which is being directed by Corin Hardy and stars Demian Bichir. That film has a release date of July 13th, 2018. Meanwhile, Annabelle: Creation, which was directed by Lights Out‘s David F. Sandberg, will be hitting theaters on August 11th.
