E3 2017: Metal Gear Survive Delayed Until 2018
I’m still not sold on the idea of zombies in a Metal Gear game, but we’ll have a little longer to wait to see if Konami’s gamble pays off as Metal Gear Survive has been delayed until next year. Aside from the Pro Evolution Soccer series, they’ve pretty much abandoned the AAA industry in favor of Pachinko arcade machines, but at least they haven’t forgotten about Metal Gear just yet.
Survive will be the publishers first game in the series since they infamously sacked Hideo Kojima last year (and blocked him from attending the The Game Awards ceremony). While they haven’t released a new trailer, if you’re at the event it’s playable on the show floor.
The game takes place shortly after the events of Phantom Pain, with the surviving Militaires Sans Frontières soldiers being transported into an alternate dimension filled with zombies.
