Happy Death Day Trailer Relives Death Over and Over and Over and…
The full trailer for Blumhouse’s Happy Death Day has been released and it basically plays out like Groundhog Day: the Horror Movie. The basic concept is that a young woman wakes up after a bender on her birthday only to be killed that night. However, as she dies, she wakes up to that same morning, meaning she has to relive her death over and over until she can figure out who is after her.
Happy Death Day is directed by Christopher Landon, who co-wrote the film with Scott Lobdell. Jessica Rothe headlines the film, which comes out Friday, October 13th.
Synopsis:
A college student (Jessica Rothe, La La Land) relives the day of her murder with both its unexceptional details and terrifying end until she discovers her killer’s identity.
