#SDCC17: FX Bringing The Strain to San Diego Comic-Con for One Last Bow
The fourth and final season of “The Strain” begins Sunday, July 16th, on FX; and during the week following the premiere, the show will be hitting the 2017 San Diego Comic-Con. All we have now are the early details courtesy of Deadline, but here’s what we know so far…
The horror series will be making its SDCC swan song on July 20th in Ballroom 20 of the San Diego Convention Center. This is a shift for FX, which has traditionally dominated the final day of Comic-Con with Hall H appearances by its popular series. There’s no info on who exactly might be attending, but we should have more for you soon.
The network will also be showcasing “Legion” and “Archer” at SDCC in case you’re a fan of them as well.
“The Strain” is produced by FX Productions and stars Corey Stoll, David Bradley, Kevin Durand, Jonathan Hyde, Richard Sammel, Ruta Gedmintas, Rupert Penry-Jones, and Max Charles.
Based off of the best-selling The Strain Trilogy by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan, the series hails from showrunner/executive producer/director/writer Carlton Cuse along with co-creators/executive producers/writers del Toro and Hogan. Gary Ungar, J. Miles Dale, Bradley Thompson, and David Weddle also serve as executive producers.
