Twitter has changed just about everything. Revolutions have been started. Demonstrations organized. Up-to-the-second news as it happens. Now it seems as if it is as good a place as any to announce your official involvement in a project!
Actress Chloe Moretz (Kick-Ass!, Let Me In) has done just that as she took to her account today to reveal the following to fans of both her and the upcoming Tim Burton-directed big screen adaptation of Dark Shadows —
“So happy to announce that I’m officially attached to #DarkShadows the new #TimBurton film such excitement!! <3"
Moretz will play Carolyn, daughter of Elizabeth Collins Stoddard (Michelle Pfeiffer), the reclusive matriarch of the Collins clan and owner of the Collinwood mansion where the supernatural saga unfolds.
Johnny Depp, Jackie Earle Haley, Eva Green, Bella Heathcote, Michelle Pfeiffer, Thomas McDonell, Gulliver McGrath, and Helena Bonham Carter also star.
Seth Grahame-Smith will be writing and Depp will also produce with Graham King’s GK Flms. Depp had obtained feature rights to “Dark Shadows” in 2007 from the estate of Dan Curtis, the producer/director who created it. The series aired weekdays on ABC from 1966 to 1971 with 1,225 episodes.
