Fantasy and Horror Collide in Dave Made a Maze Trailer
A full trailer for the surreal fantasy film Dave Made a Maze has been released and it looks wildly imaginative and incredibly entertaining! Mixing a lot of humor with some mild horror elements, the story follows a group of people who venture into a cardboard fort created by their friend only to discover that it’s FAR bigger on the inside than the outside suggests. If that calls to mind Mark Z. Danielewski’s novel House of Leaves, you wouldn’t be the only one to think so!
The film was recently acquired by Gravitas Ventures for North American distribution. It will hit limited theaters on August 18th and it can also be pre-ordered on iTunes.
Dave Made a Maze stars Nick Thune, Meera Rohit Kumbhani, Kirsten Vangsness, Stephanie Allynne, James Urbaniak, Scott Krinsky, Adam Busch, John Hennigan, Kamilla Alnes, Frank Caeti, Tim Nordwind, and Scott Narver. Bill Watterson directs.
Synopsis:
Dave, an artist who has yet to complete anything significant in his career, builds a fort in his living room out of pure frustration, only to become trapped by the fantastical pitfalls, booby traps, and critters of his own creation. His girlfriend, Annie, leads a band of oddball explorers on a rescue mission — but they find themselves trapped in an ever-changing supernatural world, threatened by booby traps and pursued by a bloodthirsty Minotaur.
