It and Mama’s Andy Muschietti to Direct Locke & Key Pilot Episode
Hulu is moving forward with their plan to create a live-action adaptation of Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez’s comic series “Locke & Key” and they’ve turned to Andy Muschietti (Mama, IT) to direct the pilot episode, according to Deadline. Muschietti replaces Scott Derrickson, who has a scheduling conflict.
Hulu has given a pilot order to “Locke & Key,” a one-hour horror/fantasy drama adaptation of the IDW comic by Joe Hill (The Fireman) and artist Gabriel Rodriguez (Little Nemo). The project comes from Hill, Carlton Cuse (“Lost,” “Bates Motel,” “The Strain”), and IDW Entertainment.
Locke & Key revolves around three siblings who, after the gruesome murder of their father, move to their ancestral home in Maine only to find the house has magical keys that give them a vast array of powers and abilities. Little do they know, a devious demon also wants the keys and will stop at nothing to attain them.
