The Blood-Soaked Werewolf Film Lycan Has Locked Down Release Dates
Parade Deck Films has announced that they will be handling the limited theatrical release of Bev Land’s werewolf horror flick Lycan, which will hit theaters on August 4th. MVD Entertainment will then take over for a disc, digital and VOD platform release on September 26th.
The film marks the directorial debut of Land, who explains, “I knew that the journey of making this film independently would be a challenge filled with a tremendous amount of blood, sweat and tears (pun intended) and I know we have something special that genre fans are going to appreciate. Fortunately for me I was lucky enough to be able to take this journey with Dania, who I not only respect and adore as an artist, but someone I also love as a human being.” That last line is in reference to star Dania Ramirez being his wife.
Directed by Land, Lycan stars Dania Ramirez, Vanessa Angel, Gail O’Grady, Parker Croft, Kalia Prescott, and Jake Lockett.
Synopsis:
When six college kids in a sleepy Southern town are assigned a group project to rediscover a moment in history, one of them sets in motion a horrific fate when he proposes they head into the Georgia backwoods to tackle the legend of Emily Burt, the Talbot County werewolf.
Lycan is a Hitchcockian tale of horror set in 1986 that delves into a hundred-year-old fable where our students are met with very real consequences that go beyond any classroom lessons.
