And the fourth story today about a movie with the word “dark” somewhere in its title has come our way, this time for the mysterious Dark Peak, which we last told you about a few months ago during AFM.

Dark Peak is a sci-fi thriller in the vein of The Philadelphia Experiment meets The Descent and based on a true story.

Written by Alistair Audsley and directed by Ben Jagger, the film tells the story of a group of hikers on Dark Peak who encounter a terrifying, mysterious force. The one surviving member must convince his rescuers that something is very wrong, so wrong that he cannot conceive of its full impact until it is too late.

Since WWII there have been over 50 unexplained air crashes on Dark Peak in the UK.

The film is being produced by Paul Tucker on behalf of Belief Films, who has been involved in producing films such as Braveheart, Aliens, King Arthur, Never Say Never Again, Hamlet, 101 Dalmatians, amongst many others, and John Adams of Angry Badger Pictures, whose credits include Mercenaries, Victim, Bashment, Cleanskin, Pimp and S.N.U.B! John Adams is one of the most dynamic young producers in the UK with a great commercial eye.

We are extremely excited to be working with Ben, Alistair, Paul and John on ‘Dark Peak’, which we believe could be both a UK hit and successful internationally, and we have faith in them and their vision” – Michael L. Cowan, Joint CEO, Stealth Media Group.

We are extremely pleased to have such a world-renowned sales agent attached to the film. Michael Cowan has shown a real passion for the project and along with his colleagues has demonstrated a mutual vision that we all believe will culminate in an innovative, exciting and ground-breaking international hit“. – John Adams, Producer, Angry Badger Pictures.
