Horror fans in the UK should be pleased with this latest distribution news to cross our desk: Kaleidoscope Entertainment has picked up all UK rights to Julian Gibney’s British adventure thriller A Lonely Place To Die from Genesis Film Sales.

Per Screen Daily the release will be Kaleidoscope’s widest in the UK to date. Spencer Pollard, CEO of Kaleidoscope, said: “We are delighted with the acquisition of A Lonely Place to Die. The film is an edge-of-your-seat ride, which is very commercial for the UK. It will be our largest theatrical release to date, and we are very excited by our release plans.

The film, which stars Melissa George (Triangle, 30 Days of Night), Ed Speelers (Eragon), Sean Harris (Harry Brown), and Karel Roden (The Bourne Supremacy), centers upon a group of five mountaineers who are hiking and climbing in the Scottish Highlands that happen to discover a young Serbian girl buried in a small chamber in the wilderness. The group then becomes caught up in a terrifying game of cat and mouse with the kidnappers as they try to get the girl to safety.
