Blumhouse and Todd McFarlane Team Up For New Spawn Film!
It’s official! We’re getting a new Spawn movie!
Todd McFarlane has teamed up with Jason Blum and Blumhouse Productions to create a new Spaw film. McFarlane will be making his directorial debut. An official website for the film has been set up.
Blum states, “Having worked with many visionary directors, I think Todd’s unique artistic talents will only add to his role as director of this film.”
Previously, McFarlane spoke with Peel the Orange, explaining, “I’d put it more into horror/suspense/supernatural genre. In the background, there’s this thing moving around, this boogeyman. That boogeyman just happens to be something that you and I, intellectually, know is Spawn. Will he look like he did in the first movie? No. Will he have a supervillain he fights? No. He’s going to be the spectre, the ghost.”
The announcement originally came from McFarlane’s Facebook page. More details will be coming in the near future.
