Rob Scallon Goes From Jekyll to Hyde in New Music Video

If you’re into metal and peruse the vast depths of YouTube, you’ve almost no doubt run across Rob Scallon, the musician who attained viral fame with his covers of Slayer on banjo and ukulele. Scallon is also known for creating original songs based on challenges left by his commenters, which often push the limits of what a musician can do with an instrument.

Today, Scallon released an official music video for his track “JekylnHyde”, which sees him play both Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde in a reimagining of Robert Louis Stevenson’s novel. The song comes from Scallon’s album The Scene is Dead, which you can snag via Bandcamp.

Episode 266: Opus Writer/Director Mark Anthony Green and Michael Jackson's Thriller (1983)
This week we were unbelievably excited to chat with writer and director Mark Anthony Green! We talk about his feature film debut Opus, working with musical icons The-Dream and Nile Rodgers, Ayo Edebiri's star power and the eccentricities (and graciousness) of John Malkovich. Mark Anthony shares a fantastic story of John on set and so much more before we dig a bit into his horror history and find out why Michael Jackson's Thriller music video scared him as a kid. A shorter episode this week, but easily one of our favorite conversations in a long while. Don't miss it. And go see Opus in theaters!Follow Mary Beth, Terry and the Podcast on Bluesky.
