Prince Nuada’s Hellboy 2 Sword Comes to Life
Guillermo del Toro’s Hellboy films were magical gateways into a world where fantasy and reality were completely and irrevocably intertwined. Seeing such a vision unfold was a treat for many people, including myself.
The folk over at Man at Arms decided to keep the memory of del Toro’s sequel, Hellboy II: The Golden Army, alive by forging Prince Nuada’s blade. You get to watch as they go step-by-step through the build, crafting a piece that looks identical to the one in the film but clearly has a bit more heft and viciousness behind it. The end result is a stunning piece of art that is fully functional, as evidenced by the test runs they put it through at the end.
