Close Encounters of the Third Kind Coming Back to Theaters
On July 4th, Sony Pictures teased us with a cryptic Close Encounters of the Third Kind video. While nothing was explained at the time, it’s clear now what the plan is as they’ve released a new video that confirms a 40th anniversary theater release of a 4K remastered edition.
The remastered version of the film will be hitting theaters on September 1st. It will then be coming to Blu-ray and Ultra HD on September 19th.
Directed by Steven Spielberg, Close Encounters of the Third Kind stars Richard Dreyfuss, Teri Garr, Francois Truffaut, and Melinda Dillon.
