According to Deadline Alice Braga (pictured right; Repo Men, Predators), the niece of the great Sonia Braga, is the next actor to sign up for active duty in District 9 director Neill Blomkamp’s latest film, Elysium. No word on whom she’ll play just yet, but we’ll be watching.

Sharlto Copley, Jodie Foster, Matt Damon, Wagner Moura, and William Fichtner also star in this upcoming sci-fi thriller that tells the tale of what happens when a battle ensues between aliens and humans for the right to colonize another planet.

Look for it in theatres on March 1st, 2013, providing we all don’t croak in 2012. Friggin’ Mayans have to try to ruin everything.
